Andrew Braun,

Mr. Braun retired as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge, or the second-in-command, of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Arizona, overseeing the Intelligence and Mission Services Branches.
In his roles as the Chief Operating Officer, he oversaw the administration of a $200 million budget and hundreds of employees. In his role as the Chief Intelligence Officer, he had direct oversight of the strategic planning of the FBI, the structure, analysis and production of the Intelligence program. He was recognized for building, leading and maintaining the Highest Performing intelligence program in the nation.
Additionally, Mr. Braun was in charge of the FBI’s Crisis Programs where he led and maintained the overall operational effectiveness and efficiency of the Office’s Critical Incident Response Program Resources including Continuity of Operations (COOP), Continuity of Government (COG) and Crisis Response Planning, Command Post(s) readiness and operations, surveillance, tactical, Crisis Negotiations, Behavioral Analysis, Crisis Management, Special Events, Counter-Improvised Explosive Device/ Stabilization Programs.
While assigned to FBI Headquarters, Mr. Braun was assigned as the FBI’s representative to the Domestic and Foreign Emergency Support Teams; interagency task forces of the United States government, tasked with on-call short-notice responses to critical incidents across the world. It consisted of and required critical liaison with personnel from military, intelligence, and diplomatic agencies, as well as other departments when required.
In 2017, Mr. Braun was awarded the FBI’s Medal of Excellence. His extensive experience includes leadership in Counterterrorism and Criminal investigations. He has earned a Master of Science and Certificate of Recognition from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University in St. Paul.
He is a member of the FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA), the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI and the FBI Agents Association.
